Perhaps I’m wrong, but won’t this essentially happen again next year? At 05:06:07 08/09/10? Furthermore, isn’t 12:34:56 7/8/09 a more interesting occurance?

Let’s all just agree that 7/8/9 is kind of an awesome date, and would be cooler if it weren’t for the ‘0’ we insist on putting in front of the 9.

For the record, I remember exactly where I was 01/02/03 04:05:06 - on a shuttle bus in Winter Park, Colorado with several close friends. Today, I am sitting in an office in Hollywood, California. I’ll try to remember that.

Hayao Miyazaki’s new movie, Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, now just Ponyo, is getting a thatrical release in the US August 14. Reports are that it’s not his greatest, but man it looks pretty. And Tina Fey is doing a voice - ha ha.

Oscars' best picture race: 10 Nominees in 2010: This strikes me as unnecessary. The Globes technically nominate 10, and last year that included “Mama Mia.” I don’t want to live in a world where a movie like that is even considered. And I agree with Lauren, if they do this, they should expand it to include animated films.
